Exclusive Egypt Tour with Abdülkadir Önüm 7N/8D

Day 1: HURGHADA

Arrival at Hurghada Airport via Turkish Airlines from Istanbul Airport. After passport and visa procedures, we meet our vehicle and transfer to our hotel in Hurghada. We spend the entire day at the hotel, enjoying the Red Sea. In the afternoon, guests who wish may join an optional semi-submarine tour to discover the magnificent ambiance of the Red Sea. Dinner will be served at the hotel as an open buffet.

Day 2: HURGHADA – RED SEA

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can participate in an optional ATV Safari tour, experiencing a fun and adventurous ride among the sand dunes. We check out of the hotel at 11:00 AM and proceed with a Hurghada city tour. During the tour, we visit El Mina Mosque, where we will perform the noon prayer. After a break, we embark on a journey of approximately 4.5 hours to Luxor. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel in Luxor. Dinner will be served at the hotel as an open buffet.

Day 3: LUXOR

After breakfast at the hotel (optional: before breakfast, guests who wish can join the hot air balloon ride at sunrise — subject to weather conditions. Details will be provided by our guide during the tour).

Following breakfast, we head to the Valley of the Kings to visit the tombs and funerary temples of ancient pharaohs, including the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. We then visit the Karnak Temple Complex, considered the largest temple complex in the world. Afterward, we visit the historic Abu Haggag Mosque and its tomb, descending from the Prophet Muhammad’s lineage. Finally, we enjoy some free time at the bazaar before concluding the day.

Day 4: CAIRO

After breakfast, we transfer to Luxor Airport for a domestic flight to Cairo. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Cairo, we head to the archaeological site at Giza to see the ancient wonders, including the Great Pyramids — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Our guide will explain the history of these mysterious structures, after which we will have free time at the panoramic viewpoint, where you can capture the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and several smaller pyramids in a single frame.

We will also see and photograph the Great Sphinx.

Afterward, we visit a perfume workshop showcasing ancient Egyptian essence production and a papyrus institute where we learn about the making of the world’s first paper.

Later, we visit the Egyptian Museum, home to priceless artifacts from ancient Egypt.

Following the museum tour, we enjoy a one-hour boat ride on the Nile River.

After the Nile cruise, we have dinner (today’s dinner is included), and then transfer to our hotel for overnight accommodation.

Day 5: FAYOUM

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Fayoum by bus, a region where Prophet Joseph (Yusuf) is believed to have lived.

Here, we switch to 4x4 jeeps and visit Tunis Village, known for its pottery workshops.

Next, we enjoy an exciting desert safari, visiting Wadi El Rayan, where we see desert waterfalls and experience a pleasant surprise by the lake.

We then continue the safari to Magic Lake, where we can try sandboarding.

After these activities, we enjoy a Bedouin dinner in a traditional tent before returning to our hotel in Cairo.

Day 6: FUSTAT (OLD CAIRO)

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Islamic Cairo district, starting with Fustat.

We see the first mosque built in Africa — Amr ibn al-As Mosque — followed by the tomb of Imam Al-Shafi'i, Sultan Hassan Mosque, and Al-Rifa’i Mosque.

We continue with the Citadel of Saladin, visiting the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha (Alabaster Mosque) and the Mosque of Nasir Muhammad bin Qalawun.

Next, we visit the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, the first Turkish-built mosque in Cairo.

In Coptic Cairo, we visit St. George Church, known for the cave where the Virgin Mary and Jesus are believed to have stayed during their flight to Egypt.

After a local dinner at a restaurant, we return to our hotel.

Day 7: ALEXANDRIA

After breakfast, we depart for Alexandria, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours.

Upon arrival, we first visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Next, we visit the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi and the adjacent tomb of Imam al-Busiri, author of the famous poem "Qasidat al-Burda."

After performing the noon prayer here, we visit the modern Library of Alexandria, built on the site of the historic ancient library.

(Depending on traffic, we may also visit the gardens of Montaza Palace.)

We then have a photo break and enjoy some free time at the central market in Alexandria.

Dinner will be a seafood meal at a restaurant by the sea.

After dinner, we return to Cairo for overnight accommodation.

Day 8: CAIRO

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the tomb of Sayyida Nafisa.

We also see the City of the Dead and stroll down Al-Muizz Street, famed for its concentration of Mamluk and Fatimid monuments.

We end our tour with free time at the historical Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and visits to the Mosque of Imam Hussein and Al-Azhar Mosque and University.

Finally, we transfer to Cairo International Airport for our return flight to Istanbul at 20:40 with Turkish Airlines.
