CASABLANCA
CASABLANCA

Day 1: CASABLANCA

We meet at 09:00 at Istanbul New Airport, International Departures Terminal, at the Turkish Airlines counter. After check-in and passport control, we fly to Casablanca with Turkish Airlines flight TK617 at 12:00. Arrival: 14:55. Upon arrival, our guide welcomes us and we begin our Casablanca city tour, where we will visit the Anfa District, the Atlantic Ocean coastline, and the Hassan II Mosque. After the city tour, we continue to Marrakech (230 km). Following a 3-hour drive, we arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: 5* Ryad Mogador Menara Hotel or similar.

Day 2: MARRAKECH

After breakfast at the hotel, we start our full-day Marrakech tour. We visit the 800-year-old Koutoubia Minaret and Mosque, the olive tree-lined Menara Gardens, Bahia Palace, and the narrow streets of the city. We will also visit the tombs of notable scholars: Qadi Iyad (author of Ash-Shifa), Sulaiman al-Jazuli (author of Dala'il al-Khayrat), and Abdulaziz Debbagh (author of Kitab al-Ibriz)—depending on accessibility. Afterwards, we explore a traditional Berber herbal pharmacy where you can purchase Argan oil and other local natural products. Then we head to Jemaa El Fna Square, one of Africa’s liveliest and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This bustling “open-air theater” is filled with storytellers, snake charmers, henna artists, acrobats, and street performers. In its maze-like souks, you’ll find countless examples of Moroccan handicrafts such as textiles, metalwork, leather, and woodcrafts.

After our tour, we attend the Chez Ali Fantasia Show, a dinner event featuring equestrian acrobatics and traditional folklore performances. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 3: RABAT – TANGIER

After breakfast, we depart for Rabat (330 km), the imperial capital of Morocco. In our city tour, we visit the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the city walls. We also stop at the Oudaia Kasbah, where the blue-painted streets offer beautiful photo opportunities. Then we continue to Tangier (250 km). Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel. Accommodation: 4* Kenzi Solazur Hotel or similar.

Day 4: STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR – TARIFA

After breakfast, we head to Tangier Port for the ferry to Spain. We cross the Strait of Gibraltar via the route once taken by the great commander Tariq ibn Ziyad during the conquest of Andalusia, landing in Tarifa, Spain—near the legendary site where he is said to have ordered his ships to be burned. After a moment of reflection, we drive to Seville (210 km).

In our Seville (Ishbiliya) city tour, we visit the Guadalquivir River, the Archive of the Indies, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Turkey, the Alcazar Palace (from outside), and Seville Cathedral—formerly the city’s Grand Mosque and now Spain’s largest cathedral—along with the Giralda, which was once the mosque’s minaret and now serves as the bell tower. We also tour the narrow streets of Santa Cruz District (Old Seville), the historic tobacco factory now serving as the University of Seville's main campus, Plaza de España, and Maria Luisa Park. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel. Accommodation: 4* Silken Al-Andalus Hotel, 4* Exe Gran Hotel Solucar or similar.

Day 5: SEVILLE – CORDOBA

After breakfast, we head to Cordoba (110 km). Upon arrival, we visit the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the masterpieces of Islamic architecture, whose construction began in 785 and was completed in 987. Despite being partially converted into a cathedral after the fall of Andalusia, it retains its grandeur.

During our walk through Cordoba’s colorful flower-lined streets, we also visit the statue of Muhammad al-Ghafiqi, a prominent Islamic ophthalmologist from whom the Spanish word for “glasses” is derived. We then continue on to Granada (Gırnata) (230 km). Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel. Accommodation: 4* Gran Hotel Luna de Granada or similar.

Day 6: GRANADA

After breakfast, we visit the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife Gardens, both rich in history and artistry from the Nasrid dynasty—an emotional highlight of the tour. We then explore the Albayzín district, stopping at the San Nicolas viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Alhambra.

Next, we visit the Grand Mosque of Granada (Mezquita Mayor De Granada), opened in 2003 (if open), and walk through the whitewashed narrow streets of Albayzín down to the city center. Along the way, we pass Caldereria Nueva (the Moroccan Bazaar), Taqwa Mosque, Gran Via Avenue, Isabel de Catholica Square, the former Grand Mosque of Granada (converted into the Granada Cathedral after the city's fall in 1492), and Bib-Rambla Square.

After the tour, dinner and overnight stay at our hotel. Accommodation: 4* Sercotel Luna Hotel or similar.

Day 7: GRANADA – MALAGA

After breakfast, we depart for Malaga (130 km). Upon arrival, we enjoy the city view from Gibralfaro Hill and take a brief city tour by bus. Then we head to Malaga Airport. After check-in procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1306 at 18:00. Arrival in Istanbul: 23:25.
