We also visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, built in honor of the female pharaoh.

Next, we head to the east bank of the Nile to see Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt and one of the world’s grandest ancient structures.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the temple was expanded by multiple pharaohs over hundreds of years. The great hall, with its 134 massive columns, colossal statues, obelisks, sphinxes, and sacred areas, will leave you in awe.

After a short rest at the hotel, we visit Luxor Temple, one of the most iconic structures from ancient Egypt, beautifully illuminated at night.

Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at our hotel in Luxor.

Day 3: CAIRO

Early in the morning, we transfer to Luxor Airport for our flight to Cairo, located in Lower Egypt, also known as the Delta region. (Flight schedule may vary depending on availability.)

  • Pyramid of Menkaure (Mikerinos)

(Entrance to the interiors of the pyramids is not included.)

We also see the Great Sphinx, a colossal statue with a human head and lion’s body.

Next, we visit the Egyptian Museum, one of the richest museums in the world, featuring artifacts that span over 5,000 years of Egyptian history.

We then continue to Cairo Citadel, which offers the best panoramic view of the city. Within the citadel, we see the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, an excellent example of classical Ottoman architecture, along with other historic buildings such as the Mosque of Sultan Qalawun.

We also visit the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, known as the first Turkish-built structure in Egypt, and photograph its stunning architectural details.

After the tour, we have dinner and return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: CAIRO

Highlights include beautiful Sabil-Kuttabs, monumental complexes of Mamluk sultans, and mosques and inns with Ottoman Turkish inscriptions.

After exploring Al-Muizz Street, we visit Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s historic marketplace.
