DOHA – BEIJING
DOHA – BEIJING

Day 1: DOHA – BEIJING

Our tour begins at Istanbul Airport’s International Terminal where we meet our guide. After passport and customs procedures, we board our Qatar Airways flight for our journey to China via Doha with a modern and comfortable aircraft.

Day 2: BEIJING

After a long but pleasant flight, we arrive at Beijing International Airport where we are greeted by our guide. We are transferred to our hotel in the city center via private vehicle, away from the crowds. The rest of the day is free for rest and adaptation to the city and climate. You may take a short walk around or simply relax at the hotel. In the evening, we enjoy a warm welcome dinner from a halal menu, marking our first taste of China.

Day 3: TEMPLE OF HEAVEN – FORBIDDEN CITY

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to the Temple of Heaven, an important historical site in Chinese culture where emperors once prayed to the heavens for prosperity. The temple is not only significant for its architecture but also for the vast surrounding park. In the early morning, it transforms into a vibrant cultural scene: elderly locals perform Tai Chi, groups dance, and some play shadow chess with friends. Walking through this environment, we experience both history and daily life in China.

We then visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square. More than just its size, it is a symbolic site for many political and social events in modern Chinese history. Surrounding the square are landmarks like Mao Zedong’s Mausoleum, the Great Hall of the People, and the National Museum.

From the north end of the square, we enter the Forbidden City through its massive red gate. This palace complex served as the residence of emperors from the Ming and Qing Dynasties for over 500 years. With thousands of rooms, grand courtyards, ornate rooftops, and mythical figures, the Forbidden City symbolizes imperial power and tradition. Every step through its corridors and courtyards feels like a journey through time. At the end of the day, we return to the hotel and enjoy another halal dinner.

Day 4: GREAT WALL OF CHINA – SACRED WAY

After breakfast, we set out to explore one of China’s most iconic landmarks: the Great Wall. We visit the Mutianyu section, known for its scenic beauty and fewer crowds. Surrounded by trees, we walk along forested paths and climb the stone stairs of the wall. From the top, the wall stretches endlessly, winding through the mountains—a breathtaking view. Guests may take a cable car or hike up on foot to experience the atmosphere.

Afterward, we continue to the Sacred Way, a pathway leading to the Ming Dynasty’s imperial tombs, also known as the “road to heaven.” Lined with centuries-old stone statues of soldiers, officials, and animals, this tranquil walkway symbolizes reverence for the past.

Our final stop for the day is a brief photo break at two iconic sites from the 2008 Beijing Olympics: the Bird’s Nest Stadium and the Water Cube Aquatics Center, both known for their striking modern architecture. After our visits, we have dinner and return to the hotel.

Day 5: SUMMER PALACE – NIU JIE MOSQUE

Today’s tour begins with the Summer Palace, the imperial family’s summer retreat, located on the shores of Kunming Lake in northwest Beijing. A stunning blend of nature and classical Chinese architecture, the palace features lakeside walkways, ornate bridges, temples, traditional halls, and the famous Long Corridor, adorned with thousands of hand-painted scenes from folklore and nature. Optional boat rides are available for guests who wish to enjoy the tranquil lake view.

In the afternoon, we visit Niu Jie Mosque, one of the oldest and most important mosques in China. Built in the 10th century, its architecture resembles a traditional Chinese temple but reflects Islamic spirit and purpose. Inside, you’ll find wooden columns, curved roofs, and walls adorned with Arabic calligraphy. The mosque serves both religious and community functions for local Muslims. After exploring the mosque and learning about the history of Islam in China, we return to the hotel for a halal dinner.

Day 6: XI’AN – JIANFU TEMPLE

Early in the morning, we transfer to the train station and board a high-speed train for a 5–6 hour journey to Xi’an, one of China’s ancient capitals. Once a cradle of Chinese civilization, Xi’an enchants visitors with its rich cultural and historical heritage.

Upon arrival, we visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a serene example of Buddhist architecture, located within peaceful gardens ideal for reflection and prayer. Next, we visit Jianfu Temple, a historically significant spiritual center offering cultural depth and tranquility.

We then explore the Xi’an Museum, which houses valuable artifacts from the Tang and Han Dynasties. Calligraphy, sculptures, ancient jewelry, and everyday items from early Chinese life are on display, offering deeper insight into the region’s heritage.

Day 7: GRAND MOSQUE – MUSLIM QUARTER

We begin the day by visiting the world-famous Terracotta Army, one of China's most significant archaeological discoveries. Created to guard the tomb of the first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, each terracotta soldier and horse is uniquely detailed and tells a story of ancient craftsmanship and military culture. The experience is like stepping into a portal to the past.

In the afternoon, we return to the city center to visit the Grand Mosque of Xi’an. This mosque is a fascinating fusion of traditional Chinese architecture and Islamic elements, offering a serene space that still functions as an active place of worship. Strolling through the mosque, you’ll observe how Islamic motifs blend with Chinese design traditions.

Our day ends with a walk through the bustling Muslim Quarter, home to lively bazaars, souvenir shops, and street food stalls. Here, you can enjoy local flavors and observe the daily life of the Muslim community in Xi’an.

Day 8: SHANGHAI – NANJING ROAD

Today we take a domestic flight to Shanghai, the jewel of modern China. Upon arrival, we head to one of the city’s most iconic areas: The Bund. Stretching along the Huangpu River, this historic waterfront features colonial-era architecture on one side and a stunning skyline of skyscrapers on the other—a symbol of Shanghai’s blend of old and new.

We then visit the famous Nanjing Road, a 5.5-kilometer-long pedestrian street lined with shopping centers, restaurants, and cafes. You’ll have free time to shop, explore, and experience the city’s vibrant energy.

Optional: Guests who wish can attend a spectacular Shanghai Acrobatic Show in the evening.

Day 9: YU GARDEN – XIAOTAOYUAN MOSQUE – ORIENTAL PEARL TOWER

After breakfast, our first stop is Yu Garden, a beautiful example of classical Chinese landscaping located in the heart of Shanghai. With peaceful ponds, stone bridges, wooden pavilions, and miniature rock gardens, the garden is a perfect retreat from the city’s hustle.

Next, we visit the Xiaotaoyuan Mosque, one of the most prominent Muslim worship sites in Shanghai, reflecting influences of West Asian architecture. During the visit, we may meet local Muslim residents and learn more about their community and religious life.

In the afternoon, we ascend the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of Shanghai’s most recognizable landmarks. From its observation decks, we enjoy panoramic views of the city’s skyline and dynamic layout.

In the evening, we transfer to Shanghai International Airport for our return flight to Istanbul via Doha with Qatar Airways.
