Morocco – Atlas Mountains & Sahara Desert Tour 6N/7D

Day 1: CASABLANCA

We meet at 09:00 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After completing our ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Casablanca on Turkish Airlines flight TK617 at 11:50. Upon arrival at 14:50 local time, we start our Casablanca city tour without wasting time. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque, located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and famous for its impressive architecture. Next, we enjoy a panoramic drive along the Anfa district, which reflects the modern face of the city, and the Corniche coastal road by the ocean. Day 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT – FES

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco (90 km). During our city tour in Rabat, we will visit one of the country’s most important landmarks, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the iconic Hassan Tower, and the historic city walls. After exploring Rabat, we continue to Fes, one of Morocco’s former imperial capitals (200 km). Upon arrival, we start our Fes city tour, visiting the Attarine Madrasa, the Karaouine University (one of the oldest universities in the world), Nejarine Square, the colorful Coppersmiths’ Market, and the historic tanneries, famous for leather production. Day 3: FES – CHEFCHAOUEN

After breakfast, we head to Chefchaouen, a picturesque town at the foot of the Rif Mountains, famous for its blue-painted houses (215 km). In this fairytale town, with its colorful streets and stairway alleys, we will spend unforgettable hours. During our tour, we will visit Uta El-Hammam Square, the Grand Mosque, the Medina (Old City) with its narrow streets, and Mohammed V Square. After capturing plenty of photos in the enchanting atmosphere of Chefchaouen, we return to Fes in the evening, have dinner at the hotel, and continue our stay at the same hotel. Day 4: FES – IFRANE – SAHARA DESERT

Today we embark on a long but mesmerizing journey. After breakfast, we head to Ifrane, known for its architecture reminiscent of the Alps. We enjoy a short walk in this charming mountain town and admire the scenery and architecture. Then, we continue our desert journey via Midelt. After a break, we reach the Sahara Desert, known as Morocco’s red heart. At the edge of the desert, 4x4 vehicles meet us and our legendary desert journey begins toward the camp where we will stay. Guests who wish can take a memorable camel ride through the desert at sunset. Dinner will be served under the stars, accompanied by traditional Berber music. A night under the Milky Way in the quiet of the desert will be an unforgettable experience. Accommodation will be in traditional desert camp tents.

Day 5: SAHARA DESERT – OUARZAZATE

We start the day with an unforgettable experience in the Sahara Desert. At sunrise, we ride camels into the depths of the desert, enjoying a unique tour over the sand dunes. After taking plenty of photos, we return to the camp for breakfast. Then, we transfer to our bus in 4x4 vehicles and head to Tinghir (140 km). Along the route, the endless desert landscapes on one side and the majestic silhouette of the Atlas Mountains on the other accompany us. We visit the Todra Valley, famous for its natural beauty and striking rock formations, and take a short break in M’Gouna, also known as the “City of Roses.” At the end of the day, we arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: OUARZAZATE – MARAKECH

After breakfast, we step onto a movie set! We will visit the Atlas Corporation Studios, which has hosted many famous films, from Asterix to Game of Thrones. Then, we will photograph the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah from outside. This thousand-year-old kasbah, used in iconic films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, will amaze us. Afterwards, we drive to Marrakech (185 km). Dinner will be served during the famous Chez Ali Show, featuring traditional folkloric performances and equestrian acrobatics. Day 7: MARAKECH – ISTANBUL

After breakfast, we begin our enchanting Marrakech tour. We visit the magnificent Bahia Palace to witness the city’s history and art. Then, we take a short walk in the peaceful Menara Gardens, followed by a pleasant stroll through the historic Medina (Old City) streets. During the tour, we also visit the tombs of notable Islamic scholars, including Abu Abbas Sebti, Suleyman Al-Cezzouli (author of Delailü’l-Hayrat), and Abdulaziz Debbagh (author of Kitab-ül Ibriz), which are open to visitors. After these spiritual stops, we have the opportunity to shop for argan oil and natural products in local markets. Our final stop is Jemaa El Fna Square, Africa’s most vibrant square, protected by UNESCO, where we will experience Morocco’s lively culture with storytellers, acrobats, snake charmers, street musicians, and colorful shops. After the tour, we transfer to Marrakech Airport and depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK620 at 16:15. Arrival in Istanbul is at 23:20, marking the end of our tour.
