ADANA - GAZİANTEP

Day 1: Starting our journey from Istanbul, we head towards our first destination, Adana. We arrive in Adana in the early hours of the morning and begin exploring the beauty of the city. We enter the city by visiting the magnificent Sabancı Central Mosque and the historic 12-Arched Stone Bridge along the Seyhan River. Then, we continue our journey towards the gem of the Southeast, Gaziantep. Upon arrival in Gaziantep after a lunch break, we visit the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, where the mosaics rescued from the ancient city of Zeugma, submerged under the waters of the Birecik Dam, are exhibited. After being enchanted by the mosaics, we explore Gaziantep's history by visiting Gaziantep Castle and the 14 Martyrs Monument, built in memory of those who lost their lives at the Dokurcum Mill. Then, we wander through the famous historical bazaars of Gaziantep, where we have the opportunity to shop and taste local delicacies. Particularly, we visit Abdullah Sedef Baklavaları to sample Gaziantep's famous baklava. We spend the evening in one of Gaziantep's comfortable hotels, where dinner will be served. 

Day 2: Nemrut - Adıyaman - Diyarbakır

NEMRUT - ADIYAMAN - DİYARBAKIR

Day 2: On the second day of our Northern Mesopotamia Gap Tour after breakfast at our hotel, we head towards Adıyaman Kahta. We embark on a tour of Mount Nemrut, starting with minibusses, where we will see significant artifacts such as the Karakuş Tumulus and the Cendere Bridge. Along the way, we'll enjoy a pleasant journey with regional folk songs and watch the sunset at Mount Nemrut. Here, we'll explore the tumulus and other sacred areas belonging to King Antiochos of Commagene and the gods. After witnessing statues of legendary figures like Apollo, Zeus, and Hercules at the summit, we'll discover important sites like the Western Terrace Peace Altar and the Lion Horoscope.


After a lunch break, we continue our journey towards Diyarbakır. Passing through the historical city of Southeast Anatolia by crossing the Nissibi Bridge, we reach Diyarbakır. In Diyarbakır, we'll visit the house where Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı who is an important figure in the literary world was born. Then, we'll explore the Diyarbakır Grand Mosque located within the Sur district and the Keçi Burcu, which draws attention with its 9000 years of history. After admiring the view of the Tigris River, we'll have a panoramic view of Mardin Gate and New Gate, capturing unforgettable photographs. At the end of the day, we'll proceed to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: On the third day of our Northern Mesopotamia Gap Tour after an incredible breakfast at our hotel, we set off from Batman towards Hasankeyf. Our first stop is Batman, where we'll explore this modern city, home to Turkey's first oil well, and take a lunch break filled with local delicacies.


After the meal, we'll reach the unique historical Hasankeyf, submerged under the waters of the Ilısu Dam. During our visit, which includes the relocated area of old Hasankeyf, we'll explore important landmarks such as El Rızık Mosque, Sultan Süleyman Mosque, and the Zeynel Bey Tomb. Particularly, with the extra Hasankeyf Boat Tour we've arranged, you'll have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of old Hasankeyf up close.


Following our Hasankeyf exploration, we head towards the visually stunning town of Midyat. We'll have lunch at Cihan Restaurant and then visit the Midyat Guest House. After taking plenty of photos in this historic building, we'll have free time to shop for Silver and Telkâri products, famous handcrafted arts of Midyat. You can also join a guided tour of the Dara Ancient City if you wish. At the end of the day, we'll head to our hotel in Mardin, where we'll settle in for dinner and accommodation.

MARDIN - ŞANLIURFA
 MARDIN - ŞANLIURFA

Day 4: On the fourth day of our Northern Mesopotamia Gap Tour after breakfast at our hotel, we head towards the renowned city of Mardin, known as "Gecesi Gerdanlık, Gündüzü Seyranlık" (charming at night, delightful during the day). Our guide will arrange an optional tour to the Dara Ancient City. Our first stop will be the Kasımiye Madrasah. After exploring this magnificent structure, we'll disembark from our bus at the Diyarbakır Gate and take dolmuşes (optional) to reach Republic Square, from where we'll explore Mardin on foot. After some free time, we'll meet our vehicle at Savur Gate and visit the Deyrul Zaferan Monastery, built on top of the Sun Temple in the 5th century. After the monastery visit, we'll take a break for lunch (optional). Then, we'll depart from Mardin and head towards Şanlıurfa.

Upon arrival in Şanlıurfa, we'll visit historical and religious sites such as the Balıklı Lake (Halil-Ül Rahman Lake), Ayn-ı Zeliha Lake, and the Cave where Prophet Abraham was born. During our free time, we can shop for Isot pepper and other local products. After exploring Şanlıurfa, we'll arrive at our hotel. Optionally, we can join the Cultural Night, where we can learn about the local culture and taste regional cuisine. Those who choose not to attend the Cultural Night can have dinner on their own.

ŞANLIURFA - ADANA
ŞANLIURFA - ADANA

Day 5: On the fifth day of our Northern Mesopotamia Gap Tour, after breakfast at our hotel, we head towards Harran, famous for its domed houses and unique culture. Here, we'll visit the Harran Great Mosque, which holds the distinction of being the oldest mosque established during the Islamic period in Turkey, as well as the First Islamic Madrasa (Harran University), the Inner Fortress, and the Historic Walls. We'll also have the opportunity to visit one of the Cone-domed Houses. You can take photos in traditional clothing during this enjoyable visit. Next, we'll reach Göbeklitepe, the world's oldest known temple and settlement site, dating back 12,000 years. Here, we'll see the temples and reliefs depicting animals such as cranes, snakes, and boars before departing from Şanlıurfa.

Upon reaching Birecik, we'll first visit the homes and care facilities of the bald ibis birds, then proceed to Halfeti, most of which is submerged under the waters of the Birecik Dam and known for being the filming location of the TV series "Karagül". Arriving at Halfeti, we'll board a boat at the Halfeti Port for about an hour-long boat tour. During the tour, we'll visit the King's Daughter Cave, the Rumkale where John the Apostle is said to have settled, and the Submerged Mosque and Minaret in the village of Savaşan. We'll return to Halfeti, which is said to have derived its name from the story of two young people named Halil and Fatma. After an optional lunch break, we'll board our vehicle and cross to the other side of the Euphrates River, then head towards Adana. Depending on the guide's availability and time, we may arrange an optional tour of Kahramanmaraş. Finally, we'll head towards Adana, leaving behind countless memories of our Northern Mesopotamia Gap Tour.

  • Salaat Times: Please don't forget to bring your prayer rug and slippers on every tour. Depending on the region, there may not always be a mosque or prayer facility available at all times. Your guide will direct you to the nearest place to pray.
  • Tickets: Your tickets are electronic, and you will receive your boarding pass from the airline attendant at the counter by providing your name. For international flights, you need to be at the airport at least 3 hours before departure time, and for domestic flights, you need to be there 2 hours before.
  • Passports and Other Documents: Participants who are unable to obtain their passports will receive them from our staff at the airport. Those who did not send their passports to our company must bring their passports and identification with them and check the passport's expiration date.
  • Cancellation & Refund Policy:
  • The entire service fee must be paid at the time of registration.
  • If the customer cancels the service up to 30 days before the service, taxes, fees, etc. that must be paid, except for costs arising from legal obligations, will be refunded in full (100%).
  • If the customer cancels the service less than 30 days before the service, taxes, fees, etc. that must be paid, 50% of the price paid, excluding costs arising from legal obligations, will be refunded to the customer.
  • If the customer cancels the service less than 15 days before the service, no refund will be made.
  • If a refund fee must be paid, it will be refunded to the customer in the same manner in which they paid.
  • If the agency unjustly terminates the contract, the agency will return all payments made by the customer to the customer within 14 days.
  • Health: You may not find every medication or equivalent in Turkey, so make sure you bring your prescription medications with you. Additionally, we recommend that you visit http://www.seyahatsagligi.gov.tr/ for more information.
  • During the Journey: We kindly request that you pay attention to your group leader's departure times to minimize time loss during your journey. As with any trip, we recommend that you store valuable items and money in the hotel safe. In the unfortunate event of damage, loss, etc. to personal belongings, please inform your group leader immediately. Smoking is not permitted on any flight. Please check your luggage tags after each flight. Public phone booths are available in cities to make phone calls with a phone card. We recommend that you take the hotel's business card when checking in.
  • I’m a solo female traveller – can I join this trip too? We typically get at least a couple of solo female travellers on each trip and you can count on us to make your experience feel as if you’re travelling with friends.
  • I can’t make the dates but I really want to experience with you, can you help? Sure! Bring at least 9 other friends/family members and we can recreate the same experience on dates that work for you. Fill in the booking form with your request and leave the rest to us!
  • How much spending money should I bring? You’ll only really need money for souvenirs, meals outside of those included above and any tips you many wish to give your guides and driver. Everything else – transport, tickets for experiences and historical suites, tours, main meals are covered by us.
  • Passports and Other Documents: Your passports and identification with you and check the passport's expiration date.

  • For all passport types, our agency has no compensation obligation if the passport holder cannot participate in the tour due to a passport that is valid for less than 6 months from the date the tour ends. 
  • If the passport officer does not allow the passenger to enter the country despite having a visa, the responsibility lies with the passenger. 
  • Our company's cancellation and refund policies apply in case of possible issues with visas. 
  • We only provide document consultancy services for visas obtained through our company. If the visa is not issued, there will be no refund for the visa fee. Our cancellation and refund policies apply to refunds for the tour fee. 
  • Flight confirmations must be made by the passenger 48 hours before the tour departure time. 
  • For all international departures, guests must be present at the relevant port 3 hours before the tour departure time. 
  • Any connecting domestic flights arranged by our company are included in the next international flight. 
  • We strongly recommend that our guests do not book domestic flights themselves. 
  • If the guest is unable to attend the tour due to being late, the responsibility lies with the passenger. Our agency has no compensation obligation.
